August 2026 Car Sales: Brezza, Victoris and Seltos Lead the 11th–25th Positions

India’s passenger vehicle market delivered a strong performance in August 2026, with several popular SUVs, hatchbacks and MPVs recording healthy monthly volumes. While the top 10 best-selling cars remained the biggest volume drivers, the positions from 11th to 25th also saw intense competition, particularly among compact SUVs and family-focused models.

The August rankings show Maruti Suzuki continuing to dominate the middle of the sales chart, while Kia, Hyundai, Mahindra, Tata and Toyota also maintained a strong presence.

Here is a look at the cars ranked from 11th to 25th in August 2026.

11. Maruti Suzuki Brezza – 15,288 Units

The Maruti Suzuki Brezza secured the 11th position with 15,288 units sold in August. Sales increased significantly from July, when the SUV recorded 12,055 units.

The Brezza continues to be offered with petrol and CNG powertrains, along with manual and automatic transmission choices. Its compact SUV proportions, practical cabin and relatively wide powertrain availability continue to make it an important model in Maruti Suzuki’s lineup.

The August performance also placed the Brezza ahead of several major compact SUVs, including the Hyundai Venue and Kia Sonet.

12. Maruti Suzuki Victoris – 12,978 Units

The newly introduced Maruti Suzuki Victoris recorded 12,978 units in August, making it the second Maruti model in this section of the ranking.

What the August 2026 Rankings Show

The rankings from 11th to 25th highlight just how competitive India’s SUV-heavy passenger vehicle market has become.

Maruti Suzuki had several models in this part of the chart, including the Brezza, Victoris, Eeco and Alto. Hyundai and Kia also maintained strong representation through the Venue, Exter, Seltos and Sonet.

Mahindra’s presence was equally significant, with the Thar, XUV 7XO, XUV 3XO and Bolero all appearing in the top 25. Tata’s Tiago also remained a strong performer, while Toyota continued to benefit from the Innova range and Hyryder.

At the broader market level, India’s passenger vehicle industry recorded its highest-ever August sales, with around 4.41 lakh passenger vehicles sold during the month. SIAM data showed passenger vehicle sales rising 36.5% year-on-year, helped by strong utility-vehicle demand and the beginning of the festive buying season.

With the festive season moving into its stronger phase, September and October sales could bring further changes to the rankings as manufacturers increase production, promotions and dealer inventory.

For now, the August 2026 list shows that the battle is particularly close in the middle of the market, with SUVs, hatchbacks and MPVs all competing for buyers across different price segments.
